Born Philakwezwe Dlamini, Phila Koshin is a dynamic creative whose career spans music, radio, theatre, and film. He began his journey at just 16 years old with the recording of his debut album, followed by his first television appearance a year later. After relocating to Durban, he worked at Durban Youth Radio as a presenter and producer before joining the SABC as a producer.
His career later expanded into music management, where he signed an artist to EMI Music, leading to touring opportunities and a feature on Pharrell Williams’ African Tour. Phila also served as a sound engineer at the Playhouse Theatre in Durban, further sharpening his technical expertise and passion for theatre music design. Today, Phila Koshin continues to blend performance, production, and storytelling, creating music that uplifts, motivates, and connects.
