Today, Moonchild Sanelly returns with two new songs out now via Transgressive Records and Gallo Record Company. The first standout track, “Yebo Teacher,” arrives today alongside a Katya Abedian Rawhani-directed video and the second track, “Yebo Mama” is out on DSPs for the first time today after blowing up the airwaves as part of a South African Bacardi campaign.

Speaking on the first, Moonchild Sanelly says: “Yebo Teacher is about putting the work in, not just in school but in life. My analogy of a Teacher talking to her students is simple – is showing people that during your time on this earth, when you take on a task, you finish it. It’s about completion, and it’s about effort. I’m asking people of all ages – ‘Have you done your homework? Are you working hard to get to the level you want to be at in life?’

As the president of the female orgasm, I am checking that people are doing their homework on their own sensuality. As an artist, I’m asking if you are doing your truest, most important work. As a business owner, I am asking you are you working at the best level you can?

So listen to your teacher – if you do your homework, if you put the work in, if you stay persistent, you’re going to win. Take this song, take this lesson and carry it through life!”

The songs open up a new chapter for Moonchild Sanelly after last year’s EP Nüdes, her standout feature on the Gorillaz album Strange Timez (“With Love to an Ex”), her killer bars on Ghetts UK radio smash ‘Mozambique’ as well as her feature in Beyoncé’s Black Is King visual album for the song “MY POWER.” Fearless, inclusive and a lot of fun, the artist is only just getting started. Her iconic personal style combined with an outspoken approach to female sexual empowerment has earned her collaborations with the aforementioned Beyoncé and Gorillaz as well as the likes of Diplo and Wizkid and built her a devoted fanbase. She is “a global superstar waiting to happen” according to Damon Albarn.

Listen to the new songs and watch “Yebo Teacher” above and stay tuned for more from Moonchild Sanelly coming soon.
