Its almost that time of the year when South African Alisters and the betting fraternity doll up for this year Gauteng Summer cup. Once again, this years glamorous horse race will be held at the grand and historic Turffontein Racecourse located at 14 Turf Club Street, Turffontein, Johannesburg, 2190 on the 30th of November 2019.
So what can you expect this year?
Be sure to expect a full-sized, world-class carnival, complete with ferris wheel, mechanical rides, face painters, buskers, epic dancefloors, horse racing, over the top fashion, hospitality and entertainment. A highlight of the day is the Summer Cup’s infamous half-time show will take place just before the main race and this year’s extravaganza headlined by local talent Freshly Ground will feature an impressive line-up of drum majorettes, a massive field band, a choir and incredible dancers.
