Afropop star Sbahle is stepping into a beautiful new chapter with the release of her latest single Some More, a heartfelt collaboration featuring Afrosoul powerhouses Nhlanhla Mafu and Naima Kay.

More than just another collaboration, Some More brings together generations of talent, blending Afro-pop and Afro-soul into one emotionally rich love story. The song explores themes of love, longing and commitment through warm harmonies, soulful melodies and poetic storytelling.

One of the song’s standout moments comes through the lyric: “Dilika dilika wey’ntaba zoKhlamba ngibone uLavo, ngifuna ukumunika uthando,” where Sbahle sings about the Drakensberg mountains standing between two lovers. The lyric paints a deeply romantic picture of wanting every obstacle to disappear just to reach the person she loves.

“As a lover girl, I love speaking about love and the song is also an expression of love in a romantic manner,” says Sbahle.

The song gains even more emotional depth with Nhlanhla Mafu’s touching verse reflecting on a love that survived doubt and criticism from others. It’s a relatable message about holding onto love despite what people say.

Known for her broad and intentional sound, Sbahle says every song she creates is designed to connect with listeners on a personal level.

“With every song, I aim to touch people’s hearts individually. Everything I create is calculated and very intentional,” she explains.

Working alongside Nhlanhla Mafu and Naima Kay was also a full-circle moment for the singer, who grew up listening to both artists and credits them as inspirations in her own musical journey.

The release of Some More follows the launch of Sbahle’s latest project Iscoco Sami, meaning “My Crown,” which represents growth, confidence and embracing her power as both a woman and artist.
