South Africa’s live entertainment calendar is heating up in 2026, with global heavyweights confirming major arena shows across the country. From timeless R&B harmonies to chart-dominating pop-rap energy, international stars are once again placing South Africa firmly on their world tour maps.

Doja Cat to Headline Move Afrika 2026

Also heading to South Africa in 2026 is Grammy Award-winning superstar Doja Cat, who will headline the third edition of Global Citizen’s Move Afrika tour. She will perform at SunBet Arena, Time Square on 20 March 2026, following a Kigali show at BK Arena on 17 March.

Move Afrika, led by Global Citizen in partnership with pgLang and Kendrick Lamar, is more than a concert series. It is a long-term strategy to build Africa’s first large-scale, international-standard touring circuit — one focused on job creation, skills development and infrastructure growth within the continent’s creative economy.

Since its launch, the initiative has created over 2,500 jobs across Kigali and Lagos, with the majority of production roles filled by local talent. Training programmes, including collaborations with the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, are helping develop the next generation of live event professionals.

Doja Cat, who has South African roots, described her involvement as both personal and purposeful, emphasising that Move Afrika represents lasting opportunity — not just entertainment.

Boyz II Men Bring Timeless R&B Back to SA

Legendary R&B trio Boyz II Men will return to South Africa this May for a highly anticipated tour presented by Remoakantse Holdings. The group performs on 27 May 2026 at the Grand Arena at GrandWest, followed by two nights at SunBet Arena, Time Square on 29 and 30 May 2026.

Formed in Philadelphia in 1988, Boyz II Men became the best-selling R&B group of all time, defining the 1990s with heartfelt ballads and polished harmonies. Classics such as End of the Road, I’ll Make Love to You, On Bended Knee and Motownphilly remain staples of global pop culture. With four Grammy Awards and over 60 million albums sold, their return promises a nostalgia-filled, world-class production.

Founding member Nathan Morris says the group is eager to reconnect with local audiences, praising the unmatched passion and energy of South African fans.

For Remoakantse Holdings, the tour reflects a continued commitment to bringing premium international entertainment to local stages while strengthening South Africa’s reputation as a destination for global touring acts.

With Boyz II Men delivering nostalgic R&B magic in May and Doja Cat bringing global chart dominance in March, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for live entertainment in South Africa.

More international announcements are expected as global artists increasingly recognise the country — and the continent — as a central player in the global live events economy.

The message is clear: Africa is not waiting for a seat at the table. It is building its own stage.
