A Flight Attendant Forced Into Drug Smuggling

Universal TV (DStv 117) is set to premiere its gripping new drama In Flight on 19 February, with new episodes airing every Thursday at 8 PM until the season finale on 26 March 2026.

This is not just another crime series. This is survival at 30,000 feet. Led by Katherine Kelly (Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Happy Valley), In Flight follows Jo Conran, a flight attendant and single mother forced into an unthinkable situation.

When her imprisoned son’s life is threatened, Jo is coerced into smuggling heroin. What begins as a desperate act to protect her child spirals into a dangerous descent into the criminal underworld. There, she encounters Cormac Kelleher — a calculated operator who promises her son’s safety, but only if she continues to run drugs for him.

Cornered and terrified, Jo turns to the last person she thought she could trust: her ex, Dom Delaney, a customs officer. As Dom starts digging into Cormac’s network, secrets unravel and the stakes intensify.

As the series unfolds, Jo finds herself negotiating gangsters, corrupt police officers and hired killers — all while trapped in an emotionally charged triangle that blurs the line between loyalty and betrayal.

In Flight thrives on tension. It moves at the pace of international travel — fast, unpredictable and unforgiving.

Jo may start as an ordinary woman caught off guard, but survival forces her to adapt quickly. Alone and out of her depth, she hatches a daring plan to outmanoeuvre the syndicate threatening her family.

The cast strengthens the drama with performances from Ashley Thomas (Top Boy), Stuart Martin (Rebel Moon), Harry Cadby, Tony Pitts, Corinna Brown, Emma Higginbottom, Bronagh Waugh and Ambreen Razia.

Produced by Buccaneer Media (Marcella, The Burning Girls), the six-part, 60-minute drama is written and co-created by Mike Walden and Adam Randall, produced by Brendan Mullin and directed by Chris Baugh.

Executive producers include Anna Burns, Richard Tulk-Hart and Tony Wood for Buccaneer Media, Rebecca Dundon and Simon Judd for Fremantle, alongside Walden, Randall, Kelly and Baugh. Fremantle is handling global sales.

In Flight premieres 19 February at 8 PM on Universal TV (DStv Channel 117), with new episodes every Thursday until 26 March 2026.
