This Easter, Liberty Promenade invites shoppers into a curious and colourful escape inspired by the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. From 27 March to 6 April 2026, the Food District Main Court transforms into the Easter WonderMaze, an interactive experience designed for families, friends and curious explorers alike.
Open daily from 12 midday to 5 PM, the activation offers a playful break during the school holidays. Visitors are encouraged to explore, scan and discover as they journey through the maze. Entry is set at R20 per person, making it an accessible adventure for all.
Inside the maze, the experience unfolds through themed fantasy spaces filled with hidden surprises. Participants embark on a fun digital hunt, scanning QR codes placed throughout the maze to collect virtual Easter eggs. The more eggs collected, the closer visitors get to unlocking rewards.
Those who reach the required number of eggs qualify for instant prizes at the gift station. With a total prize pool valued at R50 000, including shopping vouchers and other rewards, there is plenty to be won. Adding to the excitement, a hidden Golden Egg offers entry into a grand prize draw, where lucky participants stand a chance to win a share of R15 000 in Liberty Promenade gift cards.
The experience ends on a sweet note. Each participant receives a marshmallow or Easter cakesickle dipped in a flowing chocolate fountain and finished with sprinkles. It is a simple but delightful reward that perfectly wraps up the adventure.
Designed as a fully immersive Easter attraction, the WonderMaze blends playful décor, vibrant colours and imaginative storytelling. It creates a space where visitors can capture memorable moments, enjoy light-hearted fun and embrace the magic of the season.
