If you thought the jungle was done with us, think again. Anaconda is back — louder, sillier and far more self-aware — and it’s officially making its South African home entertainment debut on Apple TV this February (to buy) and from 4 March 2026 (to rent).

What starts as a midlife-crisis passion project quickly spirals when their low-budget jungle shoot collides with a very real, very large anaconda. Suddenly, the movie they’ve always dreamed of making might be the last thing they ever do.

Directed by Tom Gormican, the film also features Steve Zahn and Thandiwe Newton, with surprise cameos from two original cast members that fans will instantly recognise. Distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment, the film delivers exactly what it promises: ridiculous fun with just enough bite.

It’s adventure. It’s nostalgia. It’s giant-snake chaos wrapped in self-aware humour. And as ComicBook.com put it, “Jack Black and Paul Rudd are hilarious throughout.”

Anaconda is currently available to buy on Apple TV and will be available to rent from 4 March 2026. Perfect timing for a movie night that mixes popcorn, laughs and just a little bit of fe
