Dracula, Flying Fish And A Trip To Transylvania? Yep

Estimated read time 2 min read

Something strange has been happening in South Africa after dark. Refrigerators have been disturbed, cans have mysteriously turned up with bite marks and, somehow, Dracula appears to be involved.

Now, Flying Fish has revealed exactly what the Count was looking for.

The brand has launched its Halloween Limited Edition Passion Fruit & Lemon flavoured beer, combining the familiar Flying Fish Lemon taste with a splash of passion fruit.

But before the flavour was revealed, Flying Fish turned the launch into a full-blown mystery.

Across participating stores, strange incidents and CCTV sightings sparked questions online, while influencers and fans joined the investigation. Then came the reveal: Dracula had made his way from Transylvania to Mzansi in search of something surprisingly good.

Flying Fish. And apparently, he wants South Africans to join him.

The campaign comes with a Buy. Register. Win. competition, giving lucky winners the opportunity to travel to Transylvania, Romania, on 4 November for a Halloween experience that includes a party featuring international artists at Dracula’s Castle.

Closer to home, Flying Fish will also bring its Surprisingly Good Sets concept to life with a Halloween celebration in South Africa on 31 October.

So, while Dracula may have crossed continents for the new flavour, South Africans can get in on the action without leaving Mzansi first.

The limited-edition Passion Fruit & Lemon Flying Fish is set to hit trade outlets from mid-September, giving fans plenty of time to decide whether they are brave enough to taste the Count’s latest discovery.

From mysterious bitten cans to a castle in Transylvania, Flying Fish has clearly decided that this Halloween should come with a little more flavour.

The question now is simple: do you dare to taste it?

Full competition terms and conditions apply.
