The future of technology, artificial intelligence and human innovation is set to take centre stage once again as Singularity South Africa officially confirms the return of its flagship Singularity South Africa Summit 2026 to the Sandton Convention Centre on 21 and 22 October 2026.

Now entering its eighth South African edition, the globally recognised Summit returns in collaboration with headline sponsor Old Mutual and metaverse partner UBU, promising another groundbreaking gathering of some of the world’s leading voices in exponential technologies, innovation and future-focused leadership.

Following the success of the 2025 edition, which attracted more than 2 000 delegates from over 600 local and international companies, the 2026 Summit aims to push the global technology conversation even further. This year’s programme will explore how rapidly evolving technologies are transforming industries, economies, societies and the future of humanity itself.

Delegates can expect two immersive stages, interactive expos, workshops, networking experiences and metaverse activations designed to connect business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and innovators shaping tomorrow’s world.

Among the first speakers confirmed for the Summit are globally recognised names including Raoul Pal, one of the world’s most influential voices in cryptocurrency, macro investing and AI, alongside Tilly Lockey, known globally as the real-life bionic woman with some of the world’s most advanced prosthetic arms.

The speaker lineup also includes disruption and innovation expert David Roberts, human performance specialist Brandon Birchak, and Hardy Pemhiwa, whose work focuses on building AI infrastructure and digital ecosystems across Africa.

Artificial intelligence research will take centre stage through insights from Professor Benjamin Rosman, recently recognised among TIME’s top 100 people to follow in AI, as well as Mmathebe Zvobwo, who will unpack the evolving relationship between AI, trust and digital communication across Africa.

Also joining the Summit is Cathy Hackl, widely recognised as one of the leading global voices on spatial computing, immersive technologies and the future relationship between humans and AI.

The 2026 programme will tackle some of the world’s most urgent and transformative topics, including agentic AI, AI factories, quantum computing, 3D printing, crypto economies, digital identity, emotional intelligence in machines and Africa’s growing role in global technology infrastructure.

According to Celiwe Ross, the Summit creates an important platform for advocating human-centred AI adoption, where technology enhances human capability rather than replacing it. She emphasised that future readiness is not only about adopting new technologies, but about empowering people to grow, adapt and lead responsibly in rapidly changing environments.

Co-CEO of Singularity South Africa, Shayne Mann, described the Summit as a space where Africa’s business, technology and creative leaders gather to engage with the future while shaping the continent’s role within it.

Mic Mann added that discussions around AI, digital infrastructure and exponential technologies have accelerated dramatically over the past year, making conversations around responsible implementation and governance more urgent than ever before.

Super Early Bird tickets are currently available at R14 500 for in-person attendance and R3 800 for metaverse access, with a 30% discount available until 31 May 2026 while limited tickets remain available.
