Babalwa M and Sjava Set to Light Up Mpumalanga

Ladies First On Stage 2026 returns to Middelburg with Babalwa M, Lamiez Holworthy, Sjava and more in a celebration of female talent.

The countdown has begun for the return of Ladies First On Stage 2026, as the popular celebration of female talent and entertainment excellence prepares for its third edition.

Taking place on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at the Middelburg Banquet Hall, the event promises another memorable winter experience filled with live music, powerful performances and a spotlight on some of South Africa’s most exciting artists.

Since its launch, Ladies First On Stage has grown into a platform dedicated to recognising the contributions of women in the entertainment industry while creating opportunities for emerging and established artists to connect, collaborate and showcase their talents.

Leading this year’s lineup is acclaimed Amapiano star Babalwa M, alongside renowned radio personality and DJ Lamiez Holworthy. Audiences can also look forward to performances from vocalist Thatohatsi and entertainer Tracy.

Adding further star power to the event is award-winning musician Sjava, whose unique blend of Afro-soul, hip-hop and traditional influences continues to resonate with audiences across the country.

Hosting duties will be handled by the energetic Cedric Tsongaboy, while local favourites Mami, Royal Zino, Playb0ilelo and Lucia M will also take to the stage.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Yethu Sonke Foundation spokesperson Ofentse Riba highlighted its role in empowering women within the creative sector.

“Ladies First On Stage is more than just a music event; it is a platform that recognises and celebrates the immense contribution of women in the entertainment industry while creating opportunities for artists to network, create and showcase through this platform. We are grateful that the movement is growing and we are now in our third year of developing and celebrating female talent from Middelburg and Mpumalanga.”
