South Africa’s appetite for premium live music experiences continues to grow, and this Women’s Month, Ndlala Arena is answering the call with a star-studded lineup featuring some of the biggest names in international and local R&B.
Returning after a successful debut, Ndlala Grandeur II is set to take over Ndlala Arena on 21 and 22 August 2026, bringing together Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated artists for two nights dedicated to timeless music, luxury and unforgettable live performances.
The two-day celebration promises to deliver a world-class entertainment experience while honouring Women’s Month through a carefully curated lineup of legendary performers who have shaped the sound of contemporary R&B across generations.
The festivities begin on Friday, 21 August, with an intimate evening headlined by RL, born Robert Lavelle Huggar, the celebrated lead vocalist of the multi-platinum selling R&B group NEXT. Widely recognised for classics such as Too Close, Wifey, Butta Love and I Still Love You, RL has remained one of the genre’s most influential voices for more than three decades.
Beyond his success with NEXT, RL has collaborated with an impressive list of music icons including Deborah Cox, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur. His songwriting talents have also contributed to projects for Luther Vandross, Usher, Jaheim and Jamie Foxx, further cementing his legacy within the industry.
Sharing the stage on the opening night is Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Mýa. Renowned for defining some of the biggest R&B moments of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Mýa became a global star through hit records such as Case of the Ex, It’s All About Me, My Love Is Like… Wo and Free.
Her contribution to the iconic Grammy Award-winning single Lady Marmalade remains one of the most celebrated collaborations in modern music history, while her career spanning more than 25 years has earned her a loyal fan base around the world.
Representing South Africa on Friday’s lineup is multi-platinum Afro-soul sensation Zonke Dikana. Known for her distinctive voice, exceptional songwriting ability and powerful stage presence, Zonke has become one of the country’s most respected musicians. Her collection of South African Music Awards and MTV Africa Music Award recognition reflects a career built on consistency, authenticity and musical excellence.
The excitement continues on Saturday, 22 August, when Grammy-nominated R&B superstar Ginuwine takes centre stage.
Born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, Ginuwine emerged as one of the defining artists of contemporary R&B through his groundbreaking partnership with legendary producer Timbaland. Together, they helped reshape the sound of modern R&B, producing chart-topping hits that continue to resonate with audiences decades later.
Songs such as Pony, Differences, So Anxious, In Those Jeans and Same Ol’ G have become staples of the genre, helping Ginuwine build a career that includes multiple platinum-selling albums and international acclaim. His success was further amplified through TGT, the acclaimed R&B supergroup featuring Tank and Tyrese.
