Gospel music lovers in Mpumalanga are in for a major night of worship and celebration as Joyous Celebration brings its Thirty30 Tour to Middelburg on Saturday, 14 November 2026.

The tour, presented by the Yethu Sonke Foundation, celebrates 30 years of Joyous Celebration through a live experience built around 30 songs, bringing together three decades of music, faith, worship and memories.

Under the theme “30 Years of Joyous Celebration – 30 Songs on Every Show,” the Middelburg leg promises an energetic gospel experience featuring live performances, vibrant choreography and the signature sound that has made Joyous Celebration one of South Africa’s most recognised gospel music groups.

The Middelburg show forms part of the second phase of the Thirty30 Tour, following the successful launch of the first phase in Johannesburg earlier this year. The tour is now heading to more cities across Mzansi, with the Middelburg event expected to draw gospel music lovers from across Mpumalanga and neighbouring communities.

For the Yethu Sonke Foundation, the celebration carries an added significance as it coincides with the foundation’s own 18th anniversary.

“We are excited to bring this special milestone celebration to Middelburg. Thirty years is an incredible achievement, and we want to celebrate it with the community through the universal language of music,” says Ofentse Riba, spokesperson for the Yethu Sonke Foundation.

He adds that the event will create an opportunity for audiences to reminisce about the music Joyous Celebration has given generations of fans, while celebrating the foundation’s own journey.

With 30 songs, three decades of music and one night dedicated to gospel, Middelburg is set to become the next stop in Joyous Celebration’s Thirty30 journey.
