Amapiano took South Africa by storm and a lot of unknown artists made a big break into the entertainment industry with songs like kokota, and labantwana amauber but apart from the amapiano genre, afro soul did the most with likes of Ami Faku who continued to shine as SA’s best newcomer of 2019 after being featured on Spotify’s Top 10 Most Streamed South African Female Artists in South Africa.
