The Equalizer is set to return for its fifth and final season on Universal TV from 3 April at 8 PM. New episodes will air every Friday, leading up to the highly anticipated series finale on 31 July 2026.
The hit series reimagines the classic story, with Queen Latifah stepping into the role of Robyn McCall. By day, she appears to be an ordinary single mother raising her teenage daughter. However, beneath the surface, she operates as a highly skilled former CIA operative who secretly helps those with nowhere else to turn.
Robyn’s dual life continues to create tension at home. Her intelligent and observant daughter Delilah, along with her aunt Vi, often find themselves navigating the complexities of keeping her vigilante identity hidden. At the same time, Robyn wrestles with the emotional impact her dangerous work has on her family.
As she continues her mission for justice, Robyn is supported by a trusted team. Melody “Mel” Bayani, a sharp and resilient former sniper, steps back after battling post-traumatic stress, while Harry Keshegian, a brilliant hacker, remains a key ally. Robyn also maintains a complicated but respectful relationship with NYPD detective Marcus Dante, who often questions her unconventional methods while recognising their impact.
The ensemble cast returns alongside Queen Latifah, including Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes and Lorraine Toussaint.
Produced by Universal Television in association with CBS Studios, the final season promises to deliver gripping storylines, emotional depth and a powerful conclusion to Robyn McCall’s journey.
Viewers across Africa can catch all the action on DStv Channel 117, as the series builds toward its final chapter.
