Gospel music lovers can expect a powerful night of praise and musical excellence as celebrated artist Everton Mlalazi prepares to bring the Celestial Chorus and Great God Tour to South Africa.

The announcement was made during a vibrant press launch held in Sandton on 25 February, where leading voices in gospel music gathered to celebrate the return of the acclaimed production. Among those in attendance were gospel heavyweights Lebo Sekgobela, Nontokozo Mkhize and Dumi Mkokstad, highlighting the significance of the event within the country’s gospel music scene.

Powered by DJ Tira’s Afrotainment, the tour marks the second edition of the Celestial Chorus experience in South Africa. The main event will take place on 21 March at Carnival City from 6pm, promising an evening of uplifting music, worship and celebration.

This year’s production raises the bar with a full 100-piece symphonic band accompanying a stellar lineup of gospel artists. Alongside Mlalazi, audiences can expect performances from Mthunzi Namba, Mmatema, Mpumi Mtsweni, Janet Manyowa, Canaan Nyathi and Rudo Madindi among others.

The concert will showcase music from Mlalazi’s acclaimed Great God album while also celebrating beloved gospel favourites that have inspired audiences across Southern Africa.

In a gesture aimed at making the experience accessible to as many people as possible, the Bridging Gaps Foundation has covered the full cost of the event, making attendance completely free.

Fans and gospel enthusiasts can secure their tickets online, but organisers encourage early bookings as demand is expected to be high for what promises to be a spiritually uplifting and musically powerful evening.

Tickets are available free of charge at https://tikiti.co.zw/events/celestialchorussatour-30032025. Fans and gospel enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their spots early for this once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
