HONOR 600 Series Redefines AI Smartphone Power

South Africa’s smartphone market just received a serious shake-up as HONOR South Africa officially unveiled the highly anticipated HONOR 600 Pro and HONOR 600 Series during a spectacular launch event hosted at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The new HONOR 600 Series arrives packed with next-generation AI features, flagship-level imaging, powerful Snapdragon processors and the biggest battery ever introduced in the HONOR Number Series lineup.

Leading the innovation charge is the industry-exclusive AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, designed to completely redefine mobile creativity. The tool allows users to transform still images into cinematic video content using natural language prompts and built-in templates. Users can combine up to three images into stunning 3 or 5-second visual sequences while controlling both opening and closing frames for a more storytelling-driven experience. HONOR’s freestyle mode pushes creativity even further by allowing users to simply describe the visual they want while AI handles the rest.

The dedicated AI Button places HONOR’s powerful imaging tools directly at users’ fingertips, including AI Photos Agent, which allows natural-language photo editing without jumping between multiple apps. Whether removing unwanted people from the background or eliminating reflections, the editing experience feels seamless and intelligent.

Photography remains at the heart of the HONOR 600 Series, with the devices introducing a flagship-level 200MP Ultra-Clear AI Night Camera engineered for exceptional low-light performance. Powered by HONOR’s advanced AiMAGE intelligent imaging architecture, the camera system focuses on preserving natural skin tones, accurate lighting and scene depth even in difficult night conditions.

The HONOR 600 Pro pushes mobile photography even further with CIPA 6.5 stabilisation on its telephoto lens and a powerful 50MP 3.5X Periscope Telephoto Camera capable of reaching up to 120x zoom. The device is designed for users demanding flagship-level control, precision and long-range clarity.

Performance also takes centre stage across the new series. The HONOR 600 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor built on advanced 3nm process technology, delivering significant CPU and GPU gains for gaming, editing, streaming and multitasking. Meanwhile, the HONOR 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, bringing powerful everyday performance and smooth gaming experiences to a broader audience.

Battery life is another standout feature, with both devices equipped with a massive 7,000mAh Long-life Battery supported by 80W HONOR SuperCharge technology, allowing users to stay connected longer while reducing downtime significantly.

Visually, the series introduces a stunning 6.57-inch display reaching up to 8,000nits peak brightness, ensuring crystal-clear outdoor visibility even under harsh sunlight. HONOR’s Eye Comfort Display technology simultaneously protects long-term viewing comfort through intelligent brightness and colour optimisation.

Durability has not been overlooked either. The HONOR 600 Series comes equipped with IP68, IP69 and IP69K water and dust resistance alongside SGS 5-star Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush protection, making the devices ready for the unpredictability of everyday life.

HONOR is also strengthening its position within connected ecosystems by introducing seamless Apple integration features including instant file sharing with iPhone and Mac devices, hotspot sharing and Apple Watch message display support.

Adding to the AI-driven experience, the series integrates Google Gemini, enabling users to interact through text, voice and image assistance for a more intuitive and conversational smartphone experience.

Speaking during the launch, Fred Zhou said the HONOR 600 Series reflects the future direction of smartphone innovation by combining practical AI tools, advanced imaging technology and reliable flagship-level performance built around the way modern users create, connect and share their lives.
