For reality tv lovers – Somhales “Somizi and Mohale” wedding was the most anticipated wedding of the year which saw stars like Bonang Matheba, Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi Mbau, Cassper Nyovest and Pearl Thusi but to name a few attend the illustious wedding hosted at Kibler Park with entertainers including the likes of Prince Kaybee, Dineo Ranaka, Lerato Kganyago, Naked Dj and Vusi Nova who happens to be a very close friend of the couple.

On the very same day while Somhales wedding blew the internet with snaps captured by attendees of the wedding hosted in Kibler Park- on the other side of Gauteng, Lockdown and Generations the Legacy actress Nomsa Buthelezi had an intimate traditional ceremony in Alexandra North of Johannesburg marrying her girlfriend. The ceremony was attended by celebrity friends such as Rhythm City actress Samkelo Ndlovu, fellow Lockdown actress Zola Nombona but to name a few. The wedding was also attended by close friends and family.


Shortly after, social media was the treated to choreographer Bontle Modiselle and her longtime rapper boyfriend Priddy Ugly, real name Ricardo Moloi snaps as they tied the knot in also a traditional ceremony dress in matching attire.

The Queen actress Dineo Moeketsi married her longtime rapper boyfriend Zothile “Solo” Langa, in a traditional wedding in May. They later had their white wedding in October which was captured in a three-part series for their wedding special which aired on 1Magic.

Kwesta and his long-term partner Yolanda Mvelase hosted their wedding in March. The ceremony was held at the Thaba Eco Hotel in Johannesburg filled with mega superstars from the likes of Musa, Berita, Kid X, Sjava, Dr Malinga and Ringo Madlingozi attending the ceremony.

Mmatema Moremi and Tshepo Gavu held their traditional and white weddings in early 2019 with the likes of EFF leader Julius Malema and politician Mbuyiseni Ndlozi attendeding the celebrations.
