DJ NASTOR RELEASES A BRAND-NEW SINGLE “PHIKELELA”

SABC 1 Master of Spin Season 4 winner, Nhlakanippho Dlamini, better known as DJ Nastor, is back again with a rhythmic Afro-House jam titled ‘Phikelela’. The track also features beautiful vocals from Newcastle based vocalist, Mhlengi Angel.

The track is based on the effect and devastation caused by the Covid_19 pandemic yet serves as an encouragement to people to hang in there, adhere to regulations and gives hope that it shall pass in time.

‘Phikelela’ is the perfect jam to rock to, as we are going through these times and will help to keep the spirit of house music alive and well during these trying times.

The song was deeply inspired by Lori Perry’s “Up against the Wind” and the excerpt of the president’s speech in the track is to give a clear idea that it speaks of the current Covid_19 pandemic. The phrase ‘Phikelela’ is intended to mean – keeping on washing your hands, wearing your face mask correctly, staying indoors and ultimately speaks to having hope and faith.

Stay tuned to DJ NASTOR’s social media pages for their single promotional activities.
