Nando’s is bringing a new flavour to South Africa’s festive season with the launch of the limited-edition Siya Sauce, created in collaboration with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi.
Officially unveiled on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at the opening of Nando’s new bespoke restaurant in Stellenbosch, the collaboration celebrates South African flavour, creativity and the importance of coming together. The sauce will be available at Nando’s restaurants nationwide from 3 November 2026, for a limited time and while stocks last.

Despite carrying the name of one of South Africa’s most celebrated rugby players, the Siya Sauce is surprisingly mild. Developed alongside Kolisi and inspired by his favourite flavours, it combines rich garlic, bright citrus notes and a gentle smoky finish.
The idea was to create a sauce that could be enjoyed by South Africans with different tastes, rather than focusing on heat alone. Whether added to a meal at home, enjoyed during a family braai or shared around a restaurant table, the sauce is designed to bring people together.
For Kolisi, the collaboration offered an opportunity to explore local flavours while working closely with the people behind the product.
“Developing this sauce was so much fun. Nando’s has that South African spirit, and we got to explore local flavour while connecting with the people behind the process. A few samples later, we landed on something I could eat every day, on pretty much everything. That was the one for me,” he said.
The collaboration also puts the spotlight on local creative talent through the involvement of Pretoria-based illustrator Mpho Boshoga. Known for his expressive, street-culture-inspired approach, Boshoga was tasked with bringing the bottle to life through artwork featuring one of the country’s most recognisable sporting figures.
For the illustrator, being part of a project involving two major South African names represents an important career moment.
“Being part of this project is a life-changing opportunity to bring my artistic creativity into a space that’s all about culture, community and a whole lot of flavour,” he said.
Nando’s has a long history of supporting South African artists and making creativity part of its brand identity. Through its restaurants and campaigns, the company has consistently created opportunities for local artists to reach wider audiences.
Jessica Wheeler, Chief Brand and Customer Officer at Nando’s, says the launch is intended to add something fun to the festive season, when South Africans make time to gather around food and good company.
“The festive season has a way of bringing us all to the same table, so we wanted to give South Africans something fun to discover when they got there. Siya is someone the whole country can agree on, and the sauce is much the same. It’s easy-going, packed with personality and made to be poured generously,” she said.

In keeping with the spirit of sharing, the Siya Sauce will be available free of charge at Nando’s restaurants nationwide.
The launch is supported by a campaign featuring some of Kolisi’s real-life friends, including Siv Ngesi, Sobantu Nqayi, Ray Malo, Vafa Naraghi, Nina Hastie, Jam Jam and Anton Taylor. Inspired by the familiar South African experience of gathering around a table, the advert captures the banter, laughter and lively moments that often accompany a shared meal.
With a well-known sporting figure, a local illustrator and a distinctly South African approach to flavour, Nando’s is using the collaboration to celebrate the people and connections that make shared experiences memorable.
The limited-edition Siya Sauce is available exclusively at Nando’s restaurants from 3 November 2026, while stocks last.
